Applications of Tali
Tali wood has a yellow to orange-brown color when freshly cut. After exposure to light and air, it gradually turns into a dark brown or dark reddish brown shade. The narrow sapwood, which can grow up to 60 mm wide, varies from yellow-gray to dark yellow. The structure of Tali is very uniform, without striking markings, although sometimes slightly darker colored stripes occur. With a durability class I for the heartwood, Tali is an excellent choice for long-term projects.
Tali wood is widely used for heavy outdoor construction, such as waterworks and bridges. It is also suitable for floors, parquet, thresholds, facade cladding and turned work. In general, similar applications are found as with Azobé wood.
