Woodsafe
Woodsafe Exterior WFX™ is a unique fire impregnation system for wood products that is based on polymer technology, which means that the fire retardant cures to form a waterproof polymer. The result is that wooden claddings can be exposed in an outdoor environment without the need for surface treatment for natural aging.
Woodsafe Exterior WFX™ fire retardant treatment is available in a variety of wood species, including Oregon Pine, Cedar, Thermowood, Pine, Ash, Accoya, Frake, Larch and more.
The fire-retardant production of Woodsafe Exterior WFX™ is covered by a type-approval certificate according to the Building Regulations, the Planning and Construction Act (SFS 2010:900) of the Swedish Housing Organization and the Construction Product Regulation 305/2011, EN14915 with associated continuous production control by RISE (0402). Document reference TG0263-08, CPR-0402-SC0260-15.
No maintenance required
Woodsafe Exterior WFX™ fire retardant treatment is the only FR product on the market certified to EN16755 EXT and ASTM D2898, which directly determines the suitability of installing fire-impregnated timber in an outdoor environment without a protective layer of paint, making the product an excellent choice to allow facade cladding to age naturally without maintenance. It is important to know that the English variant BS-EN16755 EXT, which has not been approved by the CEN committee, cannot be compared with EN16755 EXT.
