CE Marking for open facade cladding
As a specialist in wooden cladding, Boogaerdt Hout offers a wide range of options for both open and closed cladding. The European standard NEN-EN 14915:2013+A1:2017 applies to facade cladding. The CE Marking makes relevant material properties of facade products visible, so that you as a customer can objectively assess whether a facade product meets the required standards. Our facade specialists are ready to advise you on the correct application of products and types of wood. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Fire class for open facade cladding
The Building Decree sets a basic requirement of fire class D for facade cladding. Boogaerdt Hout supplies CE-certified facade cladding that meets fire class D, even for applications such as open facade cladding. Fire class D is the usual requirement for building structures, unless additional (more stringent) requirements are imposed. For specific requirements, please contact us Forestlines facade profile, which offers untreated wood with Fire Class B.
The following types of wood have been tested:
- Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii)
- Jatoba (Hymenaea courbaril L.)
- Larch (Larix decidua Mill.)
- Meranti (Shorea leprosula Miq.)
- Oregon Pine (Pseudotsuga menziesii)
- Padouk (Pterocarpus soyauxii)
- Thermo Fraké (Terminalia superba)
- The mentioned Eurofire class D can only be declared if the preconditions in the documents are met (End-use conditions).
You can find the performance declarations on our download page.
