Wooden cladding
There are many suitable types of wood to choose from for wooden cladding. When making the right choice, several points are important, such as durability, stability and appearance. The durability of a type of wood is indicated by a durability class, ranging from class I to V, with V being the least durable class. Examples of wood types with durability class I are Accoya® and Padouk, while Abachi is less suitable due to its durability class V and must therefore be treated.
Stability and good ventilation are also essential when choosing a type of wood for your wooden cladding. Although any type of wood works, wood types with a low swelling and shrinkage coefficient are more suitable. It is important to take this into account during installation. Boogaerdt Hout offers facade cladding for various projects, including homes, offices, commercial buildings, fences and noise barriers.
