Hollands Hout (Staatsbosbeheer) has developed an outdoor collection of larch cladding in collaboration with Boogaerdt Hout. Larch Dutch Wood comes from the Dutch forests of Staatsbosbeheer. It has a good natural durability and can be finished with various paint systems. The FSC® certified facade cladding from the Outdoor Collection of Hollands Hout comes from the forests of Staatsbosbeheer and is made of sapwood-free larch. The facade parts are optimized for quality under a KOMO certified finger joint process which ensures good dimensional stability. This allows the larch facade cladding to be supplied in a number of fixed lengths up to 610 cm. A finish with special Keim paint is also possible. This paint contains no chemical ingredients, is color stable and UV-insensitive, which means that maintenance can be postponed for a long time. Available in opaque in all RAL colors, six selected colors are available in transparent. Larch Hollands Hout has been tested in End-Use for Fire Class D in both an open and closed construction, which gives you great freedom of design.
Our forests where we walk and cycle daily. The sensible harvesting under the management of Staatsbosbeheer ensures that future generations can make endless use of this renewable raw material. The policy is that more wood grows in our forests than is harvested, with the result that the volume of wood in Dutch forests increases every year.

Larch can be sawn and planed reasonably well. Sharp tools are required to finish the soft spring wood smoothly. Because it can be resinous, resin can stick to saws or chisels when working wet wood.
For facade cladding we have the most common profiles of this Dutch wood type in stock. All profiles have a finely sawn visible side for better paint adhesion and longer life. Available finger jointed lengths are: 355, 405, 505 and 610 cm.

Larch cladding has a unique and natural appearance. Larch Dutch Wood facade cladding can also be finished with various paint systems. For facade projects with a fire class requirement D, Larch Dutch Wood can be finished with a paint system from KEIM. The combination of Larch Dutch Wood and the natural mineral paint from KEIM has been tested in End-Use, the classification report will be available soon. Other paint systems are also being tested and will be available soon.
KEIM paints meet requirements in terms of aesthetics, health and also building physics. The binder potassium silicate allows light rays to fall directly on the colour pigment, resulting in an astonishing depth and shine. The colour shades radiate directly from the velvety matt surface with absolute colour stability. This is how KEIM facades remain unchanged for decades. KEIM paints are Cradle to Cradle Silver certified, and even Gold certified for the Material Health component.
In 2013, KEIM was the first to launch a silicate coating for the organic substrate wood. The disadvantage of conventional coatings for wood is the limited lifespan of only about three to seven years. Renovation work is laborious and expensive. KEIM has succeeded in transferring the principle of silicate paint to wood – with reliable, long-lasting protection against weather influences, UV light and moisture. The labor and material costs of a subsequent renovation are much lower.
